georgian garnets brooch

An antique pin broch, about 180-200 years old, 9k gold, spectacular in its colors and design.

The brooch consists of flat cut almandine garnet, in different shapes and inlaid in a foiled back with a basket-shaped back.

The photos were taken towards the evening and notice the beauty of the garnets even when the sun’s rays had almost set. (see photos).

The ways of wearing the brooch are versatile and it can be worn as a brooch lengthwise, crosswise, as a chain extender and more.
